In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
