I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
